Monty Stevens: Mr. Potter/Misc. Roles

Monty has been active in our theatre community since the 70's.  He has done  shows with CBC, Player;s Theatre, RLOC, MCMT, two local movies and dozens of radio/television commercials.  From singing to sword fighting to comedies to heart wrenching dramas, Monty enjoys imparting every emotion possible to the audience and using their reactions as fuel to power his performances.  Yes, he's using you...but in a good way!  His goal is to make you believe, if even for the duration of the show, that he is whoever or whatever he's portraying on stage,  Every show is a test and the audience will hand out the grades.  Enjoy!

Katrina Roberts: Foley Artist/Announcer/Misc. Roles

Since her move to the Tri Cities in 2000, Katrina has happily performed regularly with Columbia Basin College CBC), Mid-Columbia Musical Theater (MCMT) and The Richland Players. Some roles at CBC include Mamma Mia, Donna; Becky's New Car, Becky; Legally Blonde, Paulette; The Sound of Music, Maria; Little Shop of Horrors, Ronette; Suds: The Rocking 60’s Musical, Dee Dee; Beehive, Cast Member; Funny Money, Jean; The Crucible, Elizabeth Proctor.  Some roles at The Richland Players are Rabbit Hole, Becca; The Rainmaker, Lizzie; Dinner with Friends, Karen; The Games Afoot, Madge; Night Must Fall, Olivia; The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Lala.  Some roles with MCMT include Man of La Mancha, Aldonza; Evita, Title Role; Mame, Agnes Gooch; Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling; The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Title Role; Chicago, Liz; Cinderella, Fairy Godmother; Into the Woods, Cinderella’s Stepmother.

Terrence Knox: Clarence

Terry's a Richland boy, born and bred.  He went to WSU and Portland State, and then to the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in Los Angeles.

He worked professionally onstage and in film and television for 37 years.

Jose Ferrer directed him in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami.

He played Dr. Peter White on NBC's "St. Elsewhere" and Sgt. Zeke Anderson on "Tour Of Duty" for CBS.  And some noteworthy killers and cops.

He's performed in the Richland Players' productions of Ordinary People, Frost/NixonAnd The Winner Is... and Nightwatch.

And Becky's New Car for CBC's Summer Showcase last year.

Scott Whitemarsh: Harry/Misc. Roles

Scott is thrilled to be a part of Theatre...Not a Dying Art's newest production.  His previous roles include Bert in Mary Poppins, Archdeacon Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dan in Next to Normal, Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls and Franz in Sunday in the Park with George.  For his day job, Scott is a chiropractor in Richland.  His most important job is as husband to his supportive wife, Kindra, and as father to his four kids.

Michael Stephen Thomas: George Bailey

Michael was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and has been frequently seen on stage in the area.  You may have seen him at the Richland Players in such plays as Of Mice and Men, The  39 Steps , Same Time Next Year, Frost Nixon, and And the Winner Is, among others.  He also played in Drinking Habits, a dinner theatre and CBC's summer showcase of Becky's New Car.  Michael is thrilled beyond measure to be taking part in the production of Miracle on 34th Street as Fred Gayley, a role that strikes home in so many hearts throughout the holiday season.

Lorinda Ferland: Ma Bailey/Misc. Roles

Lorinda took up acting in Oakland, California when she retired and continued with the Richland Players when she landed in the Tri-Cities three years ago.  You may have seen her as Martha in The Game's Afoot, Lillian in I Hate Hamlet and Helga the maid in Night Watch.  I'm SO happy to be working with the amazing, talented and fun people of T...NADA in bringing Miracle on 34th Street to the stage!!

Carisa Simpson: Mary Hatch/Foley Artist/Misc Roles

Carisa Simpson has performed regularly around the Northwest with Portland Opera, Yakima Valley Opera, The Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre, and Columbia Basin College Productions. Her favorite roles respectively include Dot in Showboat, Pamina in The Magic Flute, Marian in The Music Man, and The Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd. Carisa has sung locally with The Mid-Columbia Symphony, The Eastern Washington Academy of Music, and The Columbia Basin Jazz Orchestra. Carisa is a certified music teacher and is currently a librarian at Hawthorne Elementary.

Carey Simpson: Keybordist

Carey Simpson is a senior at Central Washington University. He is currently studying computer science, but music is still an integral part of his life. Carey began taking piano lessons at the age of 8 and has been playing piano and experimenting with composition ever since. He has played keyboard in shows such as MCMT’s performances of Fiddler on the Roof, Mamma Mia!, and Sister Act. He is also the designated pianist for the band Les Stress and the Testers.
